Pastor Kim Hargwood

Born and raised in Tuscaloosa, Alabama; Elder Kim confessed Christ at an early age. She attended New Home Baptist Church under the leadership of James E Long until graduating from Central High School. In 1984 she journeyed to New York, where she met and married the love of her life, Minister James Hargwood (they are blessed with six wonderful children and one grandson; one grandson and five grand-daughters).

She continued her studies at Weymouth College. Elder Kim joined the Faith Baptist Church in Hempstead, NY under the leadership of the late Pastor JJ Howell Sr. where she sang with the JJ Howell Ensemble Choir.

Later she moved to Amityville, New York where she joined the New Hope Institutional Baptist Church where the late Dr. John A Jackson was the pastor. She served as the Praise & Worship leader for many years and in many different areas of ministry. It was at New Hope that the Lord began to work in her life like never before. Her desire to preach the gospel grew deeper. Pastor Jackson passed away in 2011 before she was able to preach her initial sermon. As she accepted her calling she furthered her education at the New Life School of Theology under the leadership of Bishop Andy C Lewter, where she continues her studies.

The Lord then moved then Pastor Kim and her family in a different leading them to the birth of Faith Deliverance Christian Center under the leadership Dr. Jermaine Henderson. After the birth of The Faith Deliverance Christian, Dr. Henderson noticed her leadership skills and began to cultivate her gifts. There he recognized her gift and pushed her into her destiny. Soon afterward the Lord elevated her to the role of Elder and Executive Pastor where she served and preached the gospel. On July 14th, 2013 she preached her initial sermon "Get There". One thing’s for sure Pastor Kim loves the Lord.

God put several ministries in her spirit, but there are two that she holds dear to her heart, “Girl I Have Issues Too” and “The Next Generation.”

There has since been a change in the guards at the Faith Deliverance Christian Center where Pastor Kim has been called to the role of Senior Pastor. Pastor Kim has proven herself faithful by committing to this chosen group of people that God gave her to lead. Many have joined and have been blessed by her leadership.
