Min. James Hargwood
Elder Elect
Elder Elect James Hargwood confessed Christ at New Hope Institutional Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend John Jackson, where he faithfully served. His devotion and commitment to ministry quickly became evident as he took on greater responsibilities, serving as both a Deacon and an Armor Bearer to Pastor John A. Jackson.
After the passing of Pastor Jackson, the Lord led Elder James, along with several others, to help birth a new ministry under the leadership of Pastor Jermaine Henderson. This ministry became known as Faith Deliverance Christian Center, where Elder James continued to grow in his calling and service.
With a desire to further equip himself for the work of the Kingdom, Elder James pursued higher education and earned a Bachelor’s Degree while studying under the spiritual mentorship and guidance of Bishop Andy C. Lewder. This season of preparation deepened his understanding of both scripture and leadership.
In time, God orchestrated a “changing of the guard,” and Elder James now serves faithfully as an Elder at The Place of Deliverance Church under the leadership of Pastor Kim Hargwood. With a heart for service, steadfast faith, and a spirit of humility, Elder James remains committed to building the Kingdom, mentoring others, and advancing the mission of Christ.
